The first kiln loads of thermally modified hardwood emerge at Lunawood’s new mill in Cleveland, Georgia. Thermal modification is a process in which wood is treated with only heat and steam—without any chemicals—enhancing its stability, durability, and resistance to decay. After the modification process is complete, we plane the wood into various Lunawood Collection products, designed to meet the needs of modern architecture and construction.

CLEVELAND, Georgia, USA, Oct. 01, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Lunawood LLC today celebrated the official opening of its new production facility in Cleveland, Georgia, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials and Partners. The event marked the start of thermal modification of locally sourced hardwood, an important milestone for Lunawood’s expansion into North America.
