Russian President Vladimir Putin and US president Joe Biden got on a high-stakes video call on December 8, 2021, On the call, they discussed the diplomatic ties over the increasing issues in Ukraine. As per media, the intention of getting on the call from Biden’s side was to intimidate Putin to get his country off Ukraine or else, the United States and its European allies will cut Russia off from the international financial system, called SWIFT.
